Marvin Lagonera is currently affiliated with ICLEI Southeast Asia Secretariat. He is also a lecturer at the Department of Economics of the Ateneo de Manila University. Lagonera holds a Master's degree in Political Science major in Global Politics from the Ateneo de Manila University and a bachelor's degree in Economics (Honors Program) and Political Science with minor in management from the same university. He was a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Mobility with Asia scholarship at the University of Warsaw in Poland. He was also a recipient of the ASEAN University Network and Kyoto University (AUN-KU) Joint Masters Research Program. He is interested in research on urban sustainable development and the global political economy.
