Key Accountabilities: Design and implement a quality management system in a fast moving consumer products environment while providing global oversight for consistent implementation in the areas of: Responsible for ensuring the quality system is maintained in the organization by educating, training, and reinforcing standards. New Product design and documentation control. Product identification and traceability at all stages of production. Oversight and definition of production and process. Defining and controlling inspection, measurement, and test equipment. Validating processes and product acceptance. Controlling nonconforming product and instituting corrective/preventive action remedies. Labeling and packaging controls. Handling, storage, distribution and installation. Records and servicing. Lead advocacy for quality of product and process within the company, establish a quality culture centered on Lead Sigma methods. Lead, mentor, and manage team of Quality Engineers and Auditors in a direct and matrix reporting relationship Define, report and manage against key metrics: Work cross functionally to establish internal audit metrics and monitor them on a scheduled basis. Gather customer information in a systematic manner to identify any product quality issues and / or negative service experiences. Track supplier and internal departmental conformance to quality policies and expectations by designing and implementing a score card tracking method. Lead project teams to address quality issues within the service and supply chain functions: Develop a team with technical/engineering expertise in jewelry design/manufacture. Ensure customer specifications are met and product performance meets specifications. Work with our suppliers to improve their processes and quality of product. 3. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following education, work experience, and abilities: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced business degree or MBA preferred. Experience and Knowledge -- 7 to 10 years progressive management experience in fast moving consumer products quality related positions in the business sector, preferably retail or service environment. Ability to solve complex problems, multi-task and prioritize, and have excellent organizational skills.
