Senior Facilities Manager
Wide experience across all areas of facilities management including commercial, industrial and retail I am
responsible for the oversight of the day to day running of The Zenith, preparing scope of work for service and fitout
contracts, contractor management and WHS systems.
Management and providing guidance for Facilities Manager
Arranging contractor visits to scope works for quotations, prepare business case and present recommendation to the
business.
Ensuring that all The Zenith compliance requirements in regards to AFSS, plant certification, etc is in place and
current.
I am responsible for the management of Centuria’s WHS and Hazardous Materials external audits, arranging site
visits and following up FMs on any actions arising. Also look after the FM Global audit process.
I work with the National Facilities Manager to manage Centuria’s WHS policies and procedures.
Oct 11 – July 16 Woolworths – Big W
Facilities Manager
Working within Big W responsible for all aspects of facilities management across a distribution precinct comprising
two distribution centres.
This includes all aspects of start up of a new precinct, organizing contractors, liaising with the project team,
coordinating installation of new equipment and working with the builder on start up. Once the precinct was up and
running working with Operations to ensure that all services are available and ensuring that down time is kept to
minimum.
Contractor control, issuing permits, confirming scope of works, reading through Safe Work Method Statements,
managing works and ensuring the works have been completed correctly.
Working with onsite staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant and equipment, resolving defects and
issues in a timely manner.
Setting up and implementation of planned maintenance schedule for all equipment and services onsite.
Ensuring direct report has a structured and planned workload, train and mentor them.
Attending various operational and project meetings, providing input and carrying out any actions arising.
Profile
Highly experienced and qualified Facilities Manager with a vast knowledge working on a wide range of properties
from office buildings to one of the largest distribution centres in the Southern hemisphere.
A multi-skilled and highly adaptable electrical/mechanical engineer experienced in supervision of staff and
contractors, maintaining and operating a wide range of equipment in a demanding and constantly changing

Facilities Manager
Sole responsibility for all facilities management of Stockland’s NSW Industrial Portfolio. These include a wide
range of properties varying from manufacturing facilities, small distribution and warehouse, an intermodal
distribution centre covering over 68 hectares with 300,000m2 of warehouse and 60,000m2 hardstand area to a
Defence National Supply and Distribution Centre.
My primary roles are to ensure effective operational management of assets, value of service for contract
relationships, communicate day to day issues to the asset/property manager, manage day to day customer issues and
relationships, ensure operational issues are addressed in a timely manner and effective management of assigned
budgets.
Contractor control as per company HSE systems and processes ensuring that all required paperwork is correct before
commencement of works, contractors are inducted and comply with Stockland OH&S procedures, carry out
inspections and tool box talks.
Implementation of O&I HSE Plan to improve quality of HS&E Systems and processes, ensure that all Region
facilities, asset and risk management issues are effectively addressed, legislative compliance of assets within cluster,
examples of improvements initiated to General/Site Specific safety, provide support to Sustainability initiatives and
targets, Stockland CR&S values are upheld, carry out weekly and monthly risk inspections and associated reporting,
Chair of Region OH&S committee.
Day to day management of tenant and supplier relationships, communication and escalation of issues as required.
Manage financial performance of assigned budgets, day to day management of suppliers, ensuring value of service,
input in to Monthly Asset reports as required, management of direct cost recoveries from tenants as required,
management of purchase orders and work orders.
Identify Capital Works projects, source quotes, engage consultants as required and prepare business cases for

together and manage works once started.

Facilities Coordinator
Started with Stockland working in several high grade buildings within the North Sydney area including Northpoint –
43 level office building with a retail area, a multi building campus site in North Ryde and multiple properties within
Macquarie Park.

Planning Supervisor
My primary role was the planning of the labour for all planned maintenance for 20 sites covered by a team of mobile
engineers. This included printing off and checking jobsheets, sending to engineers, checking them on return and
entering details into the computerised PM system. Monitoring workload and communicate labour requirements at
weekly meetings.
Team member for asset collection for new computerized maintenance system. Visiting sites, carrying out asset
audits, communicating with the site managers or supervisors to ensure that all the equipment information is correct,
inputting it onto a database and checking it for accuracy. I was responsible for the entry into the company Integrated
Management System database for all accidents and incidents and escalating them as required. Carry out site
inspections as specified by the company.
Carry out internal environmental audits and report back to the site manager detailing points raised and corrective
actions required.
To assist the client in translating their key success factors into measurable Service Level Agreements and Key
Performance Indicators. To communicate, monitor and deliver KPIs as required by the company.
To work with the Dalkia representatives to ensure that all staff function in an efficient, professional and ethical
manner. Carry out staff appraisals and organise any training necessary. To manage the compliance with all statuary
and key client tasks. To ensure compliance with client and company quality, environmental and safety procedures.
To assist in any project management tasks implemented.
Ensure financial controls are in place and managed in conjunction with Dalkia representatives.
To understand the legal, contractual and cultural needs of the client.
3. This was primary an office based position but with an amount of time spend meeting clients, Dalkia site
management and engineers, understanding their needs and assisting them to improve the service that Dalkia
delivered to our clients.

Contracts Supervisor
Responsible to the Contracts Manager for the smooth and efficient of several national contracts. This includes
preparing planners, coding them ready for exporting into a computer based maintenance, job allocation and purchase
ordering program called Siclops.
Allocating engineers to complete planned maintenance, callouts, raising job sheets, ordering parts and sub
contractors and changing the status of engineers as they progress the works. Allocating engineers to PPM per their
sites and completing them once the task is complete.
Training new users in the use of the new system, liaising with the management team, being part of the Siclops user
group and a member of the Electronic Capture and Storage of Data Implementation Team.
Also conversant in use of the preceding management program SAMSYS, carrying out many of the above tasks on a
DOS based program.

Site Supervisor
Having been based at various prestigious client sites including a brewery and a leading food manufacturer, I was
involved in the maintenance and defect rectification of a wide range of industrial plant including boilers, air
compressors, water treatment plant, CO2 recovery and other ancillary equipment throughout the site.
I was directly responsible for the detailing of work for the day technicians and ensuring that the shift technicians are
updated on problems that may have risen since they were last on shift.
I was responsible for the site Planned Maintenance System and a member of the company support team for the
maintenance management system – CONCEPT - providing training, auditing and guidance in its use.
I had full responsibility for the compliance of all site procedures and documentation ensuring that they meet
company standards including ISO14001, ISO9001, COSHH assessments and operating and emergency procedures.
Used to working under a safe system of work procedure and contractor control having had training and practical
experience in Permit to Work, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Safety Auditing and Contractor Induction. This
also includes requesting quotations for works, studying method statements and risk assessments, raising order
numbers and supervising the contractors whilst onsite.
Highly competent in dealing with the client, having direct contact with our immediate liaison, client plant operators
and senior manager’s onsite and their group management.
Experienced in assisting the site Operations Manager in putting together annual site budgets, carried out the analysis
and reporting of monthly finances and summaries.

Site Service Engineer
My duties included installing new equipment, operating, maintaining and carrying out fault diagnosis on a wide
range of machinery, equipment and ancillaries. Working on a wide range of machine tools, paint shop equipment,
ovens and conveyors. Worked in the Machine Shop, Paint Shop, Main Production Lines and finished in a large
boiler house as a maintainer/operator on a rotating shift pattern. Carried out a wide range of mechanical tasks, water
treatment supervision including chemical testing and carrying out actions to ensure all readings are in limits.
Use of building management system to control lighting and heating throughout the site.

MEM(L)1 – Marine Engineering Mechanic (Electrical)
Maintenance, fault finding and defect rectification on a wide range of industrial and household electrical and
mechanical equipment. This varied from generation and high voltage equipment to domestic and low voltage
equipment ranging from 440v AC 3 phase, 115v AC single phase, 220v DC, 24v dc and batteries. Practical use of a
wide range of test equipment. Supervision and general duties on diesel engines, air conditioning plant, refrigeration
units, switchboards and distribution centers, air compressors hydraulics and generators. Performed stores control,
management and documentation for a busy workshop and provided specific training for newly joined mechanics.
