Our Client is an award-winning online business, passionate about great design and the difference it
can make to their customers and the world. They have grown rapidly, enjoying a global demand for
their products from day one, continuing to work with some of the web's fastest growing online
communities.
We're recruiting for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team.
The team comprises 4-5 developers, a dedicated QA engineer, and inline product manager.
Responsibilities
 You'll work closely with Technical Architects and strong product team to help develop world-
class software which runs the e-commerce website, mobile and digital profile platforms.
 You will operate as Scrum Master for the team, working to support a well-defined and agile
process, also being capable of keeping a straight face while saying the term 'Scrum Master'.
 You'll need to lead and mentor your team to ensure they are kept highly motivated and
engaged, and be aware of and work to removing any frustrations, or impediments they have
to do doing their best work.
 You'll have to ensure that your team has a clear and open two-way channel of
communication with the rest of the business.
 You'll be expected to contribute technically (by writing code) to the output of the team, and
be capable of engaging in high level technical architecture discussions.
 Line management for the software developers on your team.
About You
 You have plenty of recent experience managing groups of software engineers of varying
experience, and can successfully motivate to get the best out of them.
 You can demonstrate strong understanding of agile software development, ideally Scrum or
Kanban experience, or even successfully implemented agile processes somewhere yourself.
 You enjoy working with others and communicate clearly. You're quick to understand
complex business concepts and can organise and prioritise the work of yourself and others.
