• The Montreal Protocol was an
international agreement signed by many
countries in 1987
• The treaty aims to reduce using
chlorofluorocarbon and stop using it in
completely in 2000
• USA and 12 countries in Europe agreed to
stop using chlorofluorocarbon in 2000
