Barry Copeland and Bob Hobson founded Prestige Audio
in 1984 and have been creating award-winning installations
ever since. Throughout the early years, Barry and Bob
pioneered the multi-room concept that they knew would one

as they waited for the world to catch up; it’s this history and
experience that gives Prestige Audio a clear advantage in

Today, Prestige Audio has expanded with branches in Surrey,
London and Manchester, winning numerous independent

the Hilton / Beetham Tower in Manchester, and St Pancras

our brief was to design an
entertainment package that
matched the stylish interior,
and importantly, offered an
experience that increased the
futuristic feel to the property.
We achieved this by situating
touch-panels around the house
which centralise the control
of the TV and audio systems,
lighting and heating, and even the
curtains and blinds throughout
the property. A stunning result
and deserved winner of the 2010

4. With a simple touch of a button, our systems enable you to control all
your lights, blinds and curtains from any room within your home. Lighting
“scenes” are pre-set to your personal preference to ensure task or mood
lighting provides the perfect setting for the job in hand; whether that’s
chopping vegetables in the kitchen or curling up on the sofa to watch your
favourite movie. We’ll even make going out easier, as you’ll no longer
need to check every room before leaving; one button will turn off all
your lighting and close selected blinds or curtains, it could even arm your
security system. At Prestige Audio, we like to feel that we design lighting

Our systems also save energy; through intelligent programming,
adjustments are made to reduce consumption by as much as 10 per cent.

Our brief was to convert a little
used swimming pool into a large
private cinema for a family whose
children are that little bit older
now. Finished in an art deco
style, with large leather bespoke
cinema chairs and LED-lit
edging to highlight the tiered
seating, this room looks and
performs as well as the best
professional cinemas. To further
add to the overall experience,
we created a foyer complete
with ticket office, confectionery
counter and popcorn machine.

solution of having both a large
screen TV system and a fully
functioning cinema in their main
living area. A simple control
system starts the process; with
one press of the remote, lights
dim and curtains close, while
the motorised projector and
emerging screen take over from
the plasma used by the couple
for regular viewing.

Our systems permit different audio and video sources to be played
