DESCRIBING ‘THE VISIT’, THE FOURTH AIM OF OUR PROJECT:
‘DISCOVER YOUR TALENT’
a la semana europea “DISCOVER YOUR TALENT”.

participación de diez profesores, ocho grupos de FP entre grado medio y básica;
ENGLISH
At the end of the previous academic year, La Rosaleda Headmaster agreed to
welcome a group of six French students for two weeks together with and their
teachers and that the Erasmus Plus Department coordinate the necessary actions.
These students are painters Professional Training students.
This work visit to our High Schoolis framed -for the French High School-within
an Erasmus Plus Project; La Rosaleda does notparticipate in this project nor does
it benefit economically from it. From the minute one, we have shown ourselves
as a host, with ‘the windows and doors opento’ multilingualism, multiculturalism
and good practices, accepting the challenge of speaking another language
(English) in our workshops and classrooms, making French students participate
in our daily work.

To the set of actions that we designed, we decided to give the same name as the
European Week: ‘Discover your Talent’. It is much what all La Rosaleda
participant teachers wanted to share with our French partner in those two weeks
of work: our strengths, our weaknesses and that we do it with humility, with
courage, with much effort and many hours of work; but above all, and even more,
that we are very proud ofthe result we were going to show: ‘apiece of ourselves’.
These students from Isére-France-_needed to carry out internships related to the
painting training that they are taking there, so we prepared a set of practical
activities for them to perform their own training tasks as well as others that were
related to painting but in different work environments: in a Wood and Furniture
Workshop and in a Graphic Arts workshop and, finally they would have a brief
knowledge about the working conditions of young workers in Spain.
All these actions and activities were planned, ofcourse, with prior knowledge and
authorization from the Management of the Center and under the organization of
the ERASMUS Department.
The main objective of the French students’ practices in our workshops is that
they can put into practice the contents oftheir academic training; in the same way,
the practices that have been designed are fully framed within the curricula of the
Spanish FP Modules. All this has been a great challenge, an enormous effort and,
we repeat, many hours of work.
The final result during these two weeks of work is translated into: the
collaboration of six Departments of La Rosaleda - Civil Works and Construction,
Wood and Furniture, Graphic Arts, Hospitality, FOL and Erasmus Plus- the
participation of ten teachers and eight VET groups between middle and basic
levels. All this is a very ambitious and promising task. There have been many
hours of preparatory work to get ready what would be “practical activities in the
workshops” so that these French students could approach the world of Wood,
