Healthy soil makes for healthy plants.  Healthy plants are less prone to diseases and attacks by bugs.  A good mix
of plants encourages a healthful variety of bug life.  Garlic, marigolds and mints are known for their built‐in
repulsiveness to bugs (strong smells). Repellent plants are effective up to a distance of approximately three feet.
Crop rotation is an excellent way to keep soil and plants healthy, a 3‐4 year rotation is best.
