2. Managing Competition
If you can’t stand the competition, get out of the
business
If you go through the wars, you get the medals
Success doesn’t depend upon being at the right
place at the right time, it depends upon being
ready
Of two heroes, he is greater who esteems his
rivals most
Nothing happens unless we make it happen in the
bazaar
No one puts out other people’s lamps. It is the
lack of oil which puts them out

problems than it solves? We are surprised by the

4. BUILDING SELF-CONFIDENCE
Follow the habit of rendering more service & better
service than paid to render.
Enter into no transaction which does not benefit, as
nearly alike as possible, everyone it effects.
Make no statement which you do not believe to be true,
no matter what temporary advantages a falsehood
might seem to offer.
Have a sincere desire in your heart to be of greatest
possible service to largest number of people.
5. Cultivate a wholesome admiration for people, like
them better than you like money.
Do your best to live as well as preach your own
philosophy of business. Actions speak louder than
words.
Accept no favors, large or small, without giving
some favors in return.
Ask nothing of any person without believing that
you have a right to that for which you ask.
