Strategies - ESE/ESOL:
During the class, while students are working in groups, we will approach those in need,
either because English is not their native language or because they still do not have the skills to
work with the computers in order to help and give them an individualized attention.
Many students may be struggling with not only the language, but also with feelings of
frustration at having to learn content, and technology. We will speak slowly and give instructions
in a clear and concise manner, by using gestures and expressions that help them understand.
I will also provide a guided example of what’s expected of them in order for the students to
have an understanding of what I expect them to do. Providing visuals will make it easier for the
students to fully comprehend. Small/cooperative groups, like carpet time, will also allow the
students to learn from their peers. This gives them a different aspect of the subject matter.
Strategies – Instructional:
The following instructional tools will be used throughout this lesson plan:
- Oral Presentation
- Lecture/Presentation
- Formal Assessment
- Pre-Assessment
- Centers
Reading Strategies:
Mapping/Graphic Organizer

Application- Using Information in a New Way (Being able to find/identify the days on the
calendar)
Analysis - Breaking Down information into Parts (centers)
Synthesis- Putting Information together in new ways (activities like making their own book)

OTHER: (Real Life, Math, etc…)
