P4 ASSESSMENT for TERM 3, 2018

Dear Parent / Guardian,
Please note that the Term 3 assessment for Primary 4 will comprise of a series of bite-sized assessments. This is to
better support your child in his/her development as he/she progresses to Primary 4 this year. We also hope that this
will give our Primary 4 pupils more time to deepen their learning and better prepare them for SA2 assessment this
year.
The Term 3 series of assessment will include various formative assessments such as performance tasks and short
topical tests in the 4 subjects – English, Mathematics, Mother Tongue Languages and Science. Our teachers will use
the data gathered from the respective assessments to help improve your child’s learning. The assessments are non-
weighted and will not contribute to their total SA2 assessment weighting for the year. Kindly also note that the
assessment will be conducted within the week indicated, based on the respective class timetable.
Please do not hesitate to discuss with your child’s form teacher or subject teacher should you have any concern
regarding your child’s learning progress.

Making an ice-box* Weeks 3 to 6
*Pupils will select different materials to construct an ice-box in a group. They will provide scientific reason(s) for their
design.
