Volunteers from AlixPartners partnered with students from Idaho Technical Career Academy for a SuitUp business competition. Students were divided into teams and coached by AlixPartners volunteers to create new product ideas for Nike. Team 3's idea for a Nike shoe recycling program called "Nike Re-Nu It" won. Both volunteers and students found the experience positive and beneficial. Surveys showed students gained confidence and interest in career fields like business and marketing from interacting with the volunteers. AlixPartners and SuitUp aim to continue these skills-building partnerships to help more young people explore different careers and industries.
