As Director of MGT OPEN, let me begin with a warm welcome to our Communication Training strategies. Simply put, our strategies will help you - and your team colleagues - learn how to communicate much more effectively, efficiently- andperhaps more importantly – communicate with greater success and greater self-confidence!
Before we start, it is always good communication to provide an overview.We will start with our Mission Statement, point out some of our key clients and then turn to our four key communication strategies , namely:1: Executive Communication Training2. And lastly, assuming you use English in your daily business, our popular “Top 10 Blunders” workshop.The common theme to our programmes is the word “communication” – for without communicating effectively, we believe it is impossible for you to manage your people – or to advance your career!
Our Mission Statementat MGT OPEN is to provide our clients with inspiring training to communicate more effectively and with greater confidence - be that around the world – or, indeed, just across the hall at work.As we are based near Frankfurt, we have the privilege to provide training to some of Germany’s leading Board Members and Executives. Our first training strategy to highlight is our Executive Training.This programme prepares Board Members, Managing Directors and Senior Managers to CommunicateWITH, Connect TO and Convince their “audience” about their theme, project or product. Our second training programme to highlight is our unique SOAPBOX Strategies.The premise of this training is that managers can learn how to conquer all their fears of speaking in front of large groups from what seems to be a most unlikely source – namely from those who stand on “soapboxes” at “Speakers’ Corner” in Hyde Park, London.These “highly-entertaining” speakers have perfected many skills to engage their audience, deliver content and connect authentically. Why? Because IF their communication strategies are NOT effective nobody actually listens to them! (Perhaps you can recall a similar situation, from a recent conference, or at work? )We believe managers can dramatically improve their Public Speaking, and in-house presentation skills, by utilising these proven, “street-tested” SOAPBOX strategies. Indeed, based on the successful response we have had with this training workshop, we are currently writing a book on this innovative theme! Here also, this training format is ideal for 1-1 coaching or small management groups and is also scheduled to fit into your busy timetable.
Our third highlighted training programme focuses on why – and how - your company must eliminate the de-motivating and costly abuses resulting from an ineffective meeting culture.How would you like to immediately save 10% of your payroll? Research reveals that many companies waste at least 10% of their payroll due to far too many meetings and also unproductive meeting habits.This group workshop targets managers responsible for setting departmental meeting standards and covers such topics as agendas - and especially the dreaded habit of using too many complicated and boring PPT slides – which we accurately call “Death by PowerPoint”. This 2-day group course covers the “best practices” of motivated meetings and provides ample opportunity for the participants to “learn by doing” via presenting simulating meetings.
Our last training programme to highlight is our highly-acclaimed and popular “Top 10 Blunders” group workshop.If you use the Englishlanguage in your e-mails, telephone and meetings to communicate with your international teams - or clients - we believe that the English language itself is NOT normally a communication barrier!However, differences in communication culture can result in costly delays and, frequently, also result in unforgiving mistakes that harm “working relationships” or perhaps kill a project or a sales deal! This group workshop provides participants with a practical, easy-to-implement list of 10 errors to avoid BEFORE making intercultural blunders. The schedule is again flexible but our current clients prefer either a 1-day group “crash course” or four separate ½ day workshops which allows for “between-class” assignments.
