Bled ,[object Object],Island on the lake Bled is the only Slovenian island and it has, despite its smallness, its own spring of water. You can ring the bell and your wish may come true

Bohinj ,[object Object],In the beginning of 20 th century a railway on the top of Triglav , highest Slovene mountain, was planed.

Slovenian coast ,[object Object]

Cerknica lake – intermittent lake ,[object Object],There is no answer to the question: “How big is Cerknica lake?”, but despite that it is the biggest lake in Slovenia. Slivnica – mythological the home of a witch

Triglav ,[object Object],First reached in 1778. The shadow of Triglav covers to the half of Slovenia land in summer.

Rakov škocjan ,[object Object],The temperature in the caves (Škocjan and Postojna) is constant, 8,2 o C.

Postojna cave ,[object Object],Slovenian ground is like a cheese – with more than 8000 karst caves. Stalactites grow for 1 mm in 10 years.

Carniolan bee - “Kranjska sivka” ,[object Object],“ Kranjska sivka” is peaceful bee with good orientation, it collects honey mostly in forests and does not eat a lot in winter.

Brown bear ,[object Object],Brown bear is our most disputable “export article”.

Forests ,[object Object],Slovenia has 3400 different plant spieces (Great B. has 1800).

Linden tree ,[object Object],For shadow, village gathering, honey, tea, furniture, also as symbol of nation, state formation and tradition.

Narcissus ,[object Object],Legend says that god punished bees picking honey on Sunday by locking the flowers of narcissus.

Ski jumping ,[object Object],The world record of ski jumping is 231 m and it was reached in Planica.

Of course we do have … a lot more to tell, but we think it is enough for the first glance. We hope we were able to wake your feelings and arise your interest to experience Slovenia.
