Introduction SlideIntroduce four important aspects of my life -My family, the most important -Education and Career, equally important - I love soccer
My Family is… My wife have two children. - My first child’s name was Luis E. Troncoso, Jr. - My second child’s name is Diego E. Troncoso, he is 4 years old. - My third child’s name is Giselle A. Troncoso, she is 1 year and ½.My family gives me the motivation to continue my education and reach my goals.
My first serious job was selling shoes. - Sometimes it was very frustrating. I saw this as a motivation to continue my education. - I learned to be patient and always kept a positive attitude because… - I knew that eventually I would get an opportunity to relax and be ready for another day.I learned that women buy A LOT of shoes! But most important I experienced hard work, responsibility, discipline, and customer service.
Since I was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, I felt a change into financial services was a must. - This was a great job, but when it came to collecting payments, sometimes I felt like a shark going after people! - I learned to deal with a mixture of feelings and situations. At the end of the day, I knew that everything I did was part of my job. This job left me with great experiences and lessons to keep in mind. I learned good principles about money management and good ethics as I always kept in mind what was best for the customer. Interaction with customers offered me an opportunity to continue developing people skills.
Being the first one in the whole family to go to college represented a great challenge for me. However, I knew I had to take it a step at a time and not give up. My family, job experiences, and self desire for success were motivation instruments to further my education. -I graduated from Hanna High School in 1998. I participated in numerous sports from elementary through high school. - I received my associates in business administration in 2001. In 2005, I graduated with a bachelor’s in Finance. I was the first to go and complete a bachelor’s degree in my family. I was a great personal and family accomplishment.Like I said, I’m taking it a step at a time. I am looking forward to complete my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology with MTT and E-learning certification by fall of 2011.My education is very valuable because it has given an opportunity for a better way of life. It has been very rewarding and I am sure that there are still a great of things for me in the near future. I still have expectations and goals to complete.
I have been teaching and learning for 5 years now. - My first two years of teaching were probably the toughest years that I have experienced in a job. I felt this because I did experience any sort of preparation to be in education. I went through an alternative certification program. - Now everything is much smoother and enjoyable. I quickly realized that I not just teaching, I was also the learner. - I learned to be more effective and efficient as a teacher, skills to lesson and technology implementation, and even further knowledge in all content subject areas. Its been five years now and the learning that I have received in may areas as an educator with the knowledge and skills from a masters program has made it a very difficult but rewarding journey.
I enjoyed pretty much every sport, but soccer is a passion for me. - I played soccer since a young child and was successful when representing Hanna. - I received numerous recognitions in my high school years. I am now coaching soccer at my former high school. How great is that! - In my minimal spare time, I enjoyed getting together with friends to play soccer. Occasionally, I do join a team and play real competitive games. One of my goals is to have an opportunity to coach a varsity soccer team. However, I also plan to be involve in the local youth soccer leagues as a coach. I greatly enjoyed coaching the young kids as well.
It seems like I want to accomplish so many things at the same time. I am really just preparing myself to do the things that I enjoy in life at some point. - I want to achieve a technology leadership position within the education setting, but I would not mind an opportunity outside education. - I also have great interest in learning about History. At some point, I would love to be a History or Social Studies teacher. I see endless opportunities to integrate technology in the classroom. - Again, I enjoy coaching and one of my Texas certificates include Physical Education. So will keep coaching as an ongoing activity that I expect to do for some time. There are many things that I am interested in achieving. In the meantime I just take things as they come or a step at a time.
