EXPERIENCE
Business Management course (2015), Canyon Crest Academy; elected CFO of team of 17
students; came up with idea and helped develop an App to keep students at school
informed and connected (presently available on Android and Apple marketplaces);
selected as one of two to present at a JA Company Program Next Big Thing
Entrepreneurs Showcase and Competition to receive funding from angel investors;
received first place, with over 150 students and 25 teams competing; advanced to
regional competition and was selected by team again to be one of two speakers to provide
an updated presentation on their business; won first place out of all teams in the county.
Cashier of The Nest cafe. The Nest is an on campus cafe that I ran for a quarter. Got to
experience running a business and using a cash register.
Camp BizSmart at Stanford University campus, summer 2014; elected CFO of
team seeking to advance a portable charged power source for bicycles; presented
to angel investors at competition held at Microsoft’s facilities in Silicon Valley
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Teen Volunteers in Action (TVIA), 2012-2015 (supporting San Diego organizations
serving the community, the environment or those in need, such as the Family Recovery
Center, the San Diego Canyonlands, and the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation)
