Musical Melodies is a Music School and is considered the starting point
for any student, between the ages of 4 – 8 years, who enjoys music and
would like to learn how to read music notation in a fun and friendly
environment.
Music improves self discipline, diligence, concentration, memory skills
and creativity.
A variety of instruments and techniques are used to obtain this goal.
Instruments used include: xylophones, glockenspiels, boomwhackers,
handbells, recorders, drums, rhythmic instruments, keyboards and many
more percussion instruments.
Children are taught by an experienced CRB checked teacher (H.Dip.Ed,
ALCM) in a fun and informative way.
There are 5 groups (levels) that a students needs to work through. Each
group has a set syllabus which the students must complete before being
considered for promotion into the next group.
Students are promoted according to ability and NOT age, therefore it is
possible that in every group there will be a variety of ages.
An annual concert is held each year where all the students have the
opportunity to perform for their parents and families. This gives parents/
guardians a chance to see what their children have learnt.
