3. 5 years have passed since the star t of the virus and you are the
last highest rank of G.B.I.S.T to be alive you have just escaped
narrowly from the capital London that was just recently overrun
which was where the last remnants of the government were
holding out at which means there wont be any help from hear on
o u t . Yo u h a v e f i v e s q u a d s l e f t f r o m t h e H Q o f G . B . I . S . T w h i c h
was also stationed at London but managed to escape with you
w i t h o u t b e i n g d e t e c t e d b y a n y i n f e c t e d h o r d e s . Yo u r b e s t b e t
was to send three of your squads to the remaining safe zones in
Liverpool, Hull and Leeds to bolster there defences, you loose
c o n t a c t w i t h t h e s q u a d i n L e e d s o n e w e e k l a t e r, t h e r e l a s t
transmission was that they had controls to a nuke and planned
to detonate it on Leeds to prevent the huge hordes from
reaching the remaining settlements, but it only bought us time
to prepare for the onslaught. The UK lost contact with America 2
years into the infection star ting which gives you the impression
t h a t n o h e l p f r o m t h e r e w i l l c o m e e i t h e r. T h e G . B . I . S . T h a v e
been hearing rumours that the scientists who started the virus
may still live as another organization called the I.E.A (Infected
Experimentation Association) had experimented illegally with
the chemical X to create super soldiers which resulted in
extreme mutations to living human experiments but with there
knowledge could give you the key to the cure and to the
scientists possible locations. But there also rumours of there
being mercenaries with the logo of the I.E.A on there shoulders
who are guarding these ruined buildings as they still think there
is a way to create these super soldiers, this association is
corrupted and they will stop at nothing for there experiments to
continue, this also makes them another threat of many as they
h a v e e q u a l m e n a n d e q u i p m e n t t o G . B . I . S . T.
5. OBJECTIVE
The objective of the game is to find a appropriate
place to build your settlement in the city of
Manchester to protect the safe zone from the
i n f e c t e d b y f i n d i n g r e s o u r c e s i n c l u d i n g f o o d , w a t e r,
f u e l a n d b u i l d i n g r e s o u r c e s . To t o p t h a t y o u a r e
finding lost documents of the I.R.C (Infected
Research Corporation) who worked with G.B.I.S.T but
the headquar ters was over whelmed as ever yone
inside the building had supposedly become infected
and at the time there was over 100 people inside
which spread drastically quick, this building is the
most overrun place in the UK as it was where the
infection began but is the only place which could
give you the research you need to either find any
surviving scientists who developed the virus the
potentially could help you come up with a vaccine or
give you the appropriate information to make your
own vaccine, which is alot easier said than done as
the scientists have not been seen for five years and
at least half of them were bitten which means that
at least six of them could possibly be alive. But you
must be wary as there are insane roamers who have
become to worship these undead creatures and will
stop at nothing until the whole of the sur viving
population is over whelmed. This makes your chances
o f s u c c e s s e x t r e m e l y u n l i k e l y.
