Homeschool Mid-Year
for Homeschooling High School

4. Breathe.
Take it easy. Don’t go hard on yourself. It’s an adjustment
for everyone. There’s bound to be tempers and irritation.
Allow yourself to breathe, and allow the adjustment to take
its course.
5. Location.
A coffee shop, a library, a bookshop, a park, the
backyard…. Sometimes a change of location is all it takes
to change a day around.
6. Creativity.
You can supplement subjects with library books, Kindle
books, Netflix movies, and YouTube videos. For instance,
several subjects can be supplemented with Hank Green’s
Crash Course YouTube videos.
7. Relax.
Bad days happen. Again, don’t be too hard on yourself or
your kids. Take a walk, get some ice cream, watch some
Netflix, shake it off. And try again the next day.
8. Time.
Give yourself time to adjust from traditional school. Sleep in.
Have a lazy breakfast. A pajama day. A “Lord of the Rings”
marathon day. A breakfast-for-dinner day. Just give time to
adjust.

homeschooling info!
