Marjaree Mason Center Hosts a Candlelight Vigil to
Commemorate Domestic Violence Victims
WHAT: Marjaree Mason Center will host its first Candlelight Vigil in order to
give victims’ families the opportunity to commemorate their loved
ones, who have suffered fatal consequences due to domestic
violence, and to know that they are not alone.
WHO: Two guests will speak about the life of their loved ones who were
victims of domestic violence as well as their time dealing with their
loss.
WHEN: CANDLELIGHT VIGIL: Friday, May 26, 6-8 p.m.
WHERE: Marjaree Mason Center

WHY: Often, families aren’t given the opportunity to commemorate the life of
their loved ones. The Majaree Mason Center gives the families a moment
to grief and share the life of their loved ones.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: Opportunities will be available during the speeches by
family members and once all candles are lit.

longer-term Safe Housing, and a wide variety of support
services for victims of domestic violence in Fresno County.

Marjaree Mason Center to Host a Candlelight Vigil to
Commemorate Domestic Violence Victims
(Friday, May 26 – Fresno, Calif.) – For the first time, the Marjaree Mason Center will
host a candle light vigil in order to commemorate domestic violence victims and give
their families a moment to grieve while giving them the opportunity to know that
there are not alone.
The event is opened to the public and there is no cost to attend but
candlesticks will be sold for a five-dollar donation.
“I’m a firm believer that every life is a gift and every person deserves to be
treated with respect,” said Nicole Dibuduo Linder, MMC’s Executive Director.
Marjaree Mason Center is Fresno County's only dedicated provider of domestic
violence shelter and support services, including education for victims and youth.
For more than 30 years the Marjaree Mason Center has stayed true to its
mission and has strategically sought opportunities to ensure the Center remains a
constant benefit to the community.
