a traditional table,high-backedchairsandcherrychinacabinet witha Picassoabstract sittingona
corner easel anda pale greenflowerpotcenterpiece.Giventoherbyher grandmother asa wedding
present,the antiquedpothousedPolly andMatt’sfloral arrangementfortheirweddingandwill feature
a seasonal arrangementforChristmas.
In the openplanfor theirlivingroom,kitchenareaandbreakfastnook,Pollycontinueshermix.Onthe
bar, she has assembled aDickens Christmasvillage,forwhichhergrandmotherpresentsheranewpiece
each year.Nexttothe breakfastnookhangsa collectionof pastel-coloredGermanplateswithpainted
flowers.These are juxtaposedwiththe floorsof darkslate tile andthe funkydishware Pollydisplays
throughthe rest of the kitchen.Inthe den,she mixes basicpale coucheswithpillow fabricsrangingfrom

Pollyexpresseshertaste throughherownartwork andher collectedpaintings,whichare displayed

“I justknockedthe glassout andpaintedit,”saidPolly,whoaddedapinkand greenabstractportrait to
replace the formerwindow.
Her taste is alsoshownthrough distinctive lightfixtures.The home includeschandeliercandle holders in
boththe masterand guest baths. The masterchandelierhousessmall pillarcandlesonabase of curving
metal workwhile the guestchandelier of wroughtironis wrappedincrystal leavesandpendants.
