3. Smallest Town Ever
This song is the opening song because it’s about my
hometown, Rockland. Rockland is one of the smallest
towns in the area and literally everyone knows
everything about everyone. But I’ve enjoyed my stay in
this great town and it has definitely shaped who I am.
4. Cruise Sesh
One of the best things to do in Rockland when all
seems boring is to just pick up a few friends and drive
around. Everyone gets to know each other really well
and “what happens in the car, stays in the car”. This
song is for those great rides that killed so much time.
5. The Promenade
The senior prom was one of the best nights of my life. I
honestly didn’t plan on going until around a month
before when I finally asked someone and it ended up
being one of the best nights of my life.
6. Student Government Remix
I wasn’t very active in school my first two years there.
But during my junior year I decided to join student
government. At times it could be very lame, but I
ended up meeting so many great people and I honestly
feel that it’s made me a more confident person.
7. One Heck Of A Poker Game
Poker was another fun thing to do in Rockland. We’d
get about six of us and start a game at like 8 o’clock.
These games would rage on until around 6 AM and
everyone would become irate at each other until
eventually there would be a winner. But these games
were also very fun and we all had a great time.
8. Seven-Ten Split
Bowling has been one of my favorite things since I was
very young. I’ve always loved just having a good time at
the alley with a few friends. There’s nothing like
spending a Friday night with some great friends,
bowling, playing at the arcade and eating pizza.
9. Throw It Away
This event probably had the most significant effect on
me. Joining track and field in high school opened up
so many doors for me that have made me the person I
am today. “throw it away” is the title because I threw
shot put and discus. My last meet ever was also my
best ever, throwing my personal three bests and both
events and running my first ever running event.
10. The Playoffs
One of the best things that my friends did was
watching professional sports as much as possible. I
could hold an intelligent sports conversation with
virtually anyone. And once the playoffs rolled around,
especially in basketball, there was always someone
willing to throw a small party for it.
11. Graduation Day
Graduation Day is obviously an important and
emotional day for everyone but it was very significant
for me. I didn’t feel like I was ready to move on from
high school yet, but after graduating, it took a few days
to set in, but it felt so crazy to know I was out of high
school. I’ll remember graduation as more than just a
ceremony in a very hot gymnasium but a symbol of
growing up.
