This one-day workshop will focus on exercises that target the adductor magnus muscle, including exercises performed in "The Tower". A series of lectures will be interspersed with practical sessions exploring exercises that are central to the function of the adductor magnus. Participants will have time to practice the exercises and understand their multi-layered effects. The benefits, technical requirements, contraindications and learning opportunities of each exercise will be discussed. The exercises can be used therapeutically to manage and prevent injuries in the hip and lumbar regions, and have benefitted dance, athletic and non-dancing populations.

A one-day workshop where inverted training of Adductor Magnus
in“TheTower”will be formally presented for the first time.
A series of short lectures will be structured in amongst a very
practical exploration of a range of exercises central to the function
of Adductor Magnus.
Time to practice and recognize the multilayered effects of the
exercises will be the primary focus of the practical sessions.
The benefits,technical requirements,contra indications and learning
opportunities of each exercise will be discussed and explored.
Exercise demonstrations will refer to appropriate visual,auditory,
and kinetic imagery,assisting with mapping links to functional
movements.Following this,practical sessions will guide appropriate
loading and decision-making for exercise application.
The exercises can be used in a therapeutic setting to manage and
prevent injury in the hip and lumbar region.This approach has been
of benefit in dance,athletic and non-dancing populations.
