5. I don’t think that my media publication is gender biased. I think that males
are represented by the main image on the front cover however, the articles
and contents page and double page spread are suited for both men and
women. However, I do feel that more men will buy the magazine because I
think that overall, more males buy indie magazines than females and the
image on the front cover would appeal to men more than women.

6. I have used a simple colour scheme throughout my media production
which is red, white with a very few bit of a light brown. I have used these
colours because when I gave out questionnaires about the indie genre and
magazines, most people said that red and white represent the indie genre.
I also found that these colours worked very well with my images
throughout and did not overpower the articles and pages. The mise en
scene also helped make these colours compatible with general scheme and
the genre also.

7. All the images I took represented the indie genre. I made
sure the colours that were included fitted with the
magazine and the genre. I made sure that the male on
the front cover looked relaxed and almost like he didn’t
care because this portrays the indie look that people
appear to have. Having a young male on my front cover
meant that although it originally appear to young adults,
the other articles such as ‘take that make progress’ do
appear to other ages and different social groups.
