This course is made to help you cover all the important aspects of media as it
helps teach you both theory and practical work involving media. Some
examples of work will be film making and photography.
14. Academic History
Some subjects that helped prepare me for university are my GCSE computer
science, Creative Media and GCSE Creative iMedia. Doing Computer Science
was useful because it helped me become more involved with the media
industry because of the work that was involved.
Creative iMedia helped develop my skills in the Media industry and also help
give me interested in career options involving Media. Finally, Media helped
me further develop my skills involving the Media industry.
15. Current Study
All of the courses in my current studies have helped me learn and prepare for
every different aspect of my future course choices at university. The music
video first helped me develop my skills with a camera and editing software.
As I did not know much about filming before so this helped significantly
develop my skills if I wanted to do it again.
Audio helped introduce me too foley and basic editing skills for audio that I
didn’t know yet, this was helpful as I believe I can use this is any future
project in the future to make it significantly better.
Print helped me improve my editing for images instead of videos, and also
helped me improve my photography once more.
Finally, video game animation helped me learn to create products purely
digitally over doing lots of in real life work too.
16. The Future
In the future I would like to become an editor. University would help me
significantly for three reasons.
The first reason is that university would help me get a degree that
would be very good for a CV for any potential jobs in the future. The
second reason is that it is years of good experience so I can improve
every aspect of what I want to do. Finally it will help me also create a
good portfolio as whatever I create at university I can show as a
portfolio to help me get a good job in the career path I want.
17. Outside College
The main activity I do outside of college that will help me in my career is
editing videos for social media, this gives me small amounts of experience
each time I practise so it is a very helpful way to spend my time outside of
college. This will make me a better candidate for university because I already
practise what I would like to do in my free time, meaning I will be willing to
invest a lot of time into any projects given to me.
18. Conclusion
I would like to go to university because of the amount of helpful experience I
would get from many talented people. And I can also create a portfolio and
expand on my CV at the same time.
I think I would be a good candidate because I am very good at investing lots
of time in things I enjoy, making me good for the subject.
19. Introduction
I would like to apply for a creative media course for university, as I believe it
will help give me the skills I need for a job I want in the future. I feel like
surrounding myself around skilled people at the course will help me improve
as well.
If I go to university, it will also teach many skills that I will need for many
aspects of life. For example, it will teach me how to work with a group of
people much easier and help me communicate with them better.
