H E A L T H
Sustainability is the the endurance
of systems and processes connected
to ecology, economics, politics, and
culture. Integrating water-food-
energy in renewable, accessible ways;
getting more results with fewer
products; recycling/repurposing
materials; finding solutions for
affordable housing and living in
balance with the environment.

Do It Yourself learning; sharing ideas;
designing and implementing “maker

Mental & Physical Health
F O C U S A R E A :
We know and value the importance of health in our everyday lives. Good mental health keeps our minds
stable, conscious, self-aware, curious, and positive. Our minds are connected with our bodies, which also
require quality nutrition, outdoor activity, and proper body treatment of all kinds.

THE MIRIAM
The Miriam is a self-sustaining and faith-
based detox and rehabilitation center for
women, based in Eastern North Carolina.
Stardust’s micro grant helped Tami
Thomas, the owner, build crab-shedding
tables where the women will work to help
sustain the center.
16. 16
Sustainability
F O C U S A R E A :
We strive to live in harmony with our environment and learn from it in order to help ourselves. Natural
elements and resources are ours to harness if we can do it with great respect for the Earth they come
from. Sustainability projects we fund explore smart solutions that promote accessibility and renewability.
R E L A T E D P R O J E C T
LUMBRICK
This social venture will increase the food
security and spendable income of refugee
communities by supplying them with a low-
cost direct substitute for firewood,
briquettes made of agricultural waste.
Stardust’s grant helped fund their pilot
project at the Timagolo refugee camp in
Cameroon in summer 2017.
17. 17
Learning
F O C U S A R E A :
The value of education depends on its accessibility for all and affordability, more than anything. We all
have a right to be curious, learn, and grow. Stardust values openness and transparency that cultivates
this curiosity and the cooperation that allows knowledge to be shared.
