16. Tech Surgery:
What’s involved for a volunteer?
• Sign up to be a volunteer
• You will be matched with a request from a charity. We will notify you of this by email:
– The email will contain the details of the charity
– A briefing document
– A link for the form where you must complete your report to the charity
• Contact the charity to set up the Tech Surgery
• Complete the report form
– You can save and return to the form to edit
• Submit the form
• Once you have submitted the report you will be presented a feedback form where you can give
us your thoughts on the Tech Surgery process and any ideas or suggestions for improvements
• The report in PDF format will be sent to the charity along with a request for feedback from the
charity
• What if I can’t complete the Tech Surgery once assigned?
– Let us know as soon as possible so that we can re-allocate a volunteer to the charity
