VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Larry Silverstein
Larry Silverstein is the Director of New Business Develop-
ment for Madison Performance Group, a corporation based
out of NYC. His company focuses on Global Rewards and
Recognition programs for Fortune 500 companies. Larry
is responsible for aligning partners and clients who would
most benefit from Madison’s services. He builds relation-
ships with clients where they work hand in hand to develop,
manage, and smoothly execute the programs that Madison
develops for them. Although Larry was born in NJ, his family moved when
he was young and he grew up in Coral Springs, Florida. He attended college
at the University of Florida and to this day he is an avid and loyal Gator fan.
Upon graduation, Larry moved to New York working in Marketing and Ad-
vertising before joining Madison, Performance Group.
Larry is married to Stefanie, a Long Island native, and they have two beauti-
ful girls together: Sydney (almost 10), and Sloane (8).
After being misdiagnosed for many years prior, twelve years ago, Stefanie’s
mother was given a definitive diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Since his moth-
er-in-law’s diagnosis Larry and his family have been involved with the Na-
tional Multiple Sclerosis Society, Long Island Chapter to help raise awareness
and funds to support research and the mission, ... to live their best lives…
In 2009, Larry and his brother-in-law, David participated in Bike MS for the
first time. This was just the beginning, Larry joined the Climb to the Top, at
Rockefeller Center, and continues to spread his wings with other fundraising
events to include Walk MS and MuckFest MS. There is evidence the family
has a certain bit of a bias to get actively dirty at MuckFest MS. Despite this,
for seven years, Larry is proud and gratified to be the team captain for Team
Family Ties. Each year he continues to build on that team, full of people who
are zealous and passionate supporters for all of the events as well as the Spring
Fashion Show, “Runway for MS”.
Larry joined the Board of Trustees, for the Long Island Chapter in 2014. He
assumed an extremely active and visible role on the board, and accepted the
Chairman position in 2016. He is committed to the strategic response and
mission as he and his family continue to spend much of their time focused
on those goals. Stefanie, Sydney, and Sloane can be seen by Larry’s side, or as
cheerleaders on the sidelines, as he continues his personal mission to be active
and volunteer to help spread awareness and fundraise.
Sloane recently coined the phrase #Let’sFightMSBro, and uses it as her new
slogan. It has been catching on like wildfire.

His company focuses on Global Rewards and Recognition programs for Fortune 500 companies. Larry is responsible for aligning partners and clients who would most benefit from Madison’s services. He builds relation- ships with clients where they work hand in hand to develop, manage, and smoothly execute the programs that Madison develops for them. Although Larry was born in NJ, his family moved when he was young and he grew up in Coral Springs, Florida. He attended college at the University of Florida and to this day he is an avid and loyal Gator fan. Upon graduation, Larry moved to New York working in Marketing and Ad- vertising before joining Madison, Performance Group. Larry is married to Stefanie, a Long Island native, and they have two beauti- ful girls together: Sydney (almost 10), and Sloane (8). After being misdiagnosed for many years prior, twelve years ago, Stefanie’s mother was given a definitive diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Since his moth- er-in-law’s diagnosis Larry and his family have been involved with the Na- tional Multiple Sclerosis Society, Long Island Chapter to help raise awareness and funds to support research and the mission, ... to live their best lives… In 2009, Larry and his brother-in-law, David participated in Bike MS for the first time. This was just the beginning, Larry joined the Climb to the Top, at Rockefeller Center, and continues to spread his wings with other fundraising events to include Walk MS and MuckFest MS. There is evidence the family has a certain bit of a bias to get actively dirty at MuckFest MS. Despite this, for seven years, Larry is proud and gratified to be the team captain for Team Family Ties. Each year he continues to build on that team, full of people who are zealous and passionate supporters for all of the events as well as the Spring Fashion Show, “Runway for MS”. Larry joined the Board of Trustees, for the Long Island Chapter in 2014. He assumed an extremely active and visible role on the board, and accepted the Chairman position in 2016. He is committed to the strategic response and mission as he and his family continue to spend much of their time focused on those goals. Stefanie, Sydney, and Sloane can be seen by Larry’s side, or as cheerleaders on the sidelines, as he continues his personal mission to be active and volunteer to help spread awareness and fundraise. Sloane recently coined the phrase #Let’sFightMSBro, and uses it as her new slogan. It has been catching on like wildfire.
