InthelandscapeofIgungaDistrict,villagecom- mitteesandexpertsareimplementing TransformingLivelihoods LifeinIgungaishighlydeterminedbythesemi- aridconditions.Livelihoodsareincreasingly affectedbyclimatechange. Localauthoritiesandcommunitiesbecomeagents ofchangebyenhancingskills,knowledge, entrepreneurshipand participationinthefieldsof: ThispublicationhasbeendevelopedwiththefinancialassistanceoftheEuropean Union.Itscontentsarethesoleresponsibilityof HeiferNederland, HeiferInternationalTanzania,AquaforAllandIgungaDistrictCouncil,andcanundernocircumstancesberegarded asreflectingthepositionoftheEuropeanUnion. Combined,theseeffortsleadtomorefavourable micro-climatesandalandscapethatismore resilienttoclimatechange.
