2. Synopsis
Carol is a fat girl who has bad dietary habits, she always eat and drink a lot. Carol and
Li Ying are best friend. They are currently semester 2 students in Taylor’s University. They
always eat, study and head to class together. One day, they finish class and plan to eat at
commercial block. When they passing Student Life Central (SLC), Carol saw a lot of stall selling
different type of food and beverage in front of SLC. She buy a lot of food and eat in the SLC.
When she finish all the food she bought, she told Li Ying that she still hungry and want
to eat again at Old Town. So, they went to Old Town, Li Ying get shocked because Carol
Ordered 2 plate of food. When carol finish her food, but she still feel hungry and wish to eat
again at 7-eleven. They went to 7-eleven, Carol pick a lot of junk food but she is stopped by Li
Ying and go back to DK SENZA. When they came out from 7-eleven, Li Ying saw her High school
mates, CY. They making a short conversation while Carol is observing CY.
The next day, Li Ying saw Carol thinking something, so she ask Carol what she thinking.
Carol ask Li Ying about CY. Carol told Li Ying that she admires CY fit and healthy body. So that,
Li Ying persuade Carol go to gym too. Carol start to think about that and decide to go gym.
When Carol go to gym room, she saw a lot of facility but she don’t know how to use them. She
saw CY was there and she observe how CY use those facility. After days of continuous exercise,
she found that exercise is so tiring and want to give up but she met CY. CY saw Carol giving up
and motivated her don’t give up on exercise. Carol get motivated and decide to continue
exercise.
4. CONCEPT 1 : PREJUDICE
Definition : Prejudice is an unjustified or a negative learned attitude toward a group of
people.

Carol told Li Ying that the man is a gay,
but actually Carol does not even know
about the man and she just prejudice
the man is a gay because of the
wearing.
6. CONCEPT 2 : SELF-HANDICAPPING
Definition : Self- handicapping is the actions or statements we make that allow us to
avoid effort or responsibility for potential failures that could damage our self-esteem. We
intentionally creating obstacles to our own success so that we have an excuse if we fail.

Carol made up a statement that
overweight people have to eat a lot
because of their size, this allow her to
avoid the responsibility for being fit and
healthy.
8. CONCEPT 3 : FIRST IMPRESSION
Definition : First impression is the initial impression we have of another person when we
meet them for the first time. It contains positive and negative impressions and a sense of
physical and psychological features.

person because the man is walking down
from the gym’s stairs and wearing sport

Definition : Persuasion is the way of people to influence others’ attitude or behaviors.

Li Ying is worry about Carol’s healthy
and tend to stop Carol continue the
unhealthy lifestyle but encourage her to
change the bad habits.

Definition : Observational learning is a type of learning that watching others engage in
behaviours and then repeating those actions.

MOTIVATION
Definition : Extrinsic motivation is a certain action in order to obtain a reward. People
who are extrinsically motivated act based on what they receive as a result.

When Carol is almost giving up to
continue jog, CY is trying motivate Carol
do not give up easily and said that he
can accompany her jog.
