and electronic transactions and dominate the overall business paradigm. In this rapidly evolving
e-world that depends on free flowing information, privacy and security is the major problem to be
considered

• The internet and social media provide young people with a range of benefits, and
opportunities to empower themselves in a variety of ways.
• The communities and social interactions young people form online can be invaluable
for bolstering and developing young people's self-confidence and social skills
• Beside a lot of advantages, Internet has some disadvantages too

1) Social Networking Sites:
• Generally , these networking sites allow users to send messages, add friends, and share
contents.
• Facebook,Whatsapp,Twitter,Tumblr are the top social networking sites

• Snapchat and Instagram are the most popular social media platforms among
the teenagers(NORC; University of Chicago)

3) Location Based Networks:
• Social networks that use GPS features to locate you and that let you
broadcast your location and other content from your mobile device.
• Mostly these apps connected via smartphones rather than social networking
if users choose sharing their location with their social connections

• Everything you do online is public by default, private through effort
• There’s no such thing as “delete” anymore- everything lives online forever
• We now have to think about the consequences of our actions in social medias

• Location based social networks are part of what is called Location
based Services (LBS)

to the capabilities of the World Wide Web , along with other vital
features of instant messaging

• Become familiar with the privacy settings available on any social network
you use
• Don’t share your birthday ,age , or place of birth
• Don’t publicize vacation plans
• Don’t post your address, phone number or email address on a social network
• Use caution when using third-party applications
• Beware of requests for money
• Take additional precautions if you are the victim of stalking, harassment or
domestic violence.

Conclusion
In Conclusion, ones privacy on the internet is very important because of all the
applications, services, scams and viruses on the internet that are waiting for any given
chance to steal someone's personal material. If all people could protect themselves
and use the right software, they would be much safer, and it would be harder to
have personal information stolen from them . Anyone using the internet should
take into consideration this information will help them in the future to protect their
privacy and maintain security
