  2. 2. Life As you want it
  3. 3. You have to dream before your dreams can come true. Understand: Establish Direction Professional Choices
  4. 4. If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable. You don't want to drift from one choice to another! You do not want circumstances to decide for you! Make a conscious choice. Devote time to it and not jump to conclusion. You just have one life and one of you. Look in past, present and imagine the future. Question what makes you happy and excited?
  5. 5. Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction. WHY YOU WANT “WHAT” YOU WANT IN LIFE ? Clarify with yourself your choices to make sure that they are not just vogue or influence! Challenge any doubts you have in mind and have 100% buy-in from yourself. Don’t force but engage and involve yourself. Once you have clarified, you would see surge in commitment and dedication. You may want to call it your VISION!.
  6. 6. WORKSHEET Where do you see yourself in 10 to 15 years time? What would you be doing then professionally? How would your family life look? How would your social life look?

  9. 9. Science behind The two brain theory: Frontal lobe and limbic The frontal lobe, involved in conscious thought and higher mental functions such as decision-making, plays an important part in processing short-term memories and retaining longer term memories which are not task-based. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com The limbic system supports a variety of functions, including emotion, behaviour, motivation, long-term memory, and olfaction. It appears to be primarily responsible for emotional life, and it has a great deal to do with the formation of memories.
  10. 10. Affirm: Evaluate Yourself He not busy being born is busy dying!
  11. 11. Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is Enlightenment. EVALUATE: Yourself, what's important to you, What you do! Knowing: what you have in your life, what adds value and what sucks life out is start of it. • Define all important areas • Define what makes them up Write down the parameter which would make the situation ideal for each of important areas. Evaluate your current standing against ideal standings. Make a conscious choice… what you want to improve and what you want to shun!
  12. 12. Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you. PRIORITISE: What needs attention and what‟s needs rejection! Prioritise what matter and adds value! See the GAP clearly where you stand today and what is your ideal standing. The most important thing in life is knowing the most important things in life. Breakdown into small steps and focus! Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important!
  13. 13. WORKSHEET What are the most important areas in your life? What makes up each of the areas your list above? How would you evaluate each? How would you strike a balance in all important areas of life?

  16. 16. Science behind Humans are more than just conscious—they are also self-aware. Difference: Consciousness is awareness of one’s body and one’s environment; Self-awareness is recognition of that consciousness—not only understanding that one exists, but further understanding that one is aware of one’s existence. Another way of thinking about it: To be conscious is to think; to be self-aware is to realize that you are a thinking being and to think about your thoughts. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com
  17. 17. PLAN: Identify The Path, Simulate The Execution Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.
  18. 18. Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be. IDENTIFY: The GAP between where you are today and where you want to be! Mind the GAP You know what you want in life (Establish Direction) You know who you are, what are your strengths, weaknesses and what’s missing!(Evaluate Yourself) Visualize the GAP, Analyze the GAP, Summarize the GAP! Break the needs into long term, mid term and immediate!
  19. 19. A Journey of a thousand miles, Begins with a single step! BRIDGE THE GAP. Start! MAKE a plan. Stick to purpose and not plan. Plan invariably change with setbacks. Simulate the journey. Often! Habitual-lize. List the resources you would require. Find the building blocks, the stepping stones! Decide the Price you are willing to Pay! Make a conscious choice… Go for it knowingly.
  20. 20. WORKSHEET Break down your Vision into Mission – 2 to 4 years actionable list! Break down each Mission into immediate objective or goals! What and where are my big gaps? What are my other attention areas?

  23. 23. Science behind The subconscious mind Your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is virtually unlimited. It permanently stores everything that ever happens to you. Your subconscious mind is an unquestioning servant that works day and night to make your behaviour fits a pattern consistent with your emotionalized thoughts, hopes, and desires. All your habits of thinking and acting are stored in your subconscious mind. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com
  24. 24. ENERGISE: Build your character Complete the Story It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare.
  25. 25. We become what we repeatedly do. SWOT YOURSELF: Combination of Our Habits = Our Character.  *VALUE SYSTEM! Work on LIFE… Step 1: Guiding Principles  Thoughts Step 2: Approach to Life  Actions Step 3: Execution  Habit Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny. * Set of morals, ethics, standards, preferences, belief systems and world views that come together through self-organizing principles to define an individual, a group or a culture.
  26. 26. Here is the test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you're alive, it isn't. LIVE: YOUR DREAMS. Vision Its all about : Today JOURNEY Make a habit out of turning dreams into reality. But Define the GAP between reality now and Dream! Understand the yourself, your environment and your dreams (goals)! AND THE COST of journey! Complete your story Visually and Factually and Earnestly. Then live the Story!

  29. 29. Nothing plays more important part in your life then your character which in turn depends on hardcore beliefs and habits which a human can cultivate. And your character is resultant of your Value System. So build our value system consciously. Everyone tries to define this thing called Character. It's not hard. Character is doing what's right when nobody's looking.
  30. 30. Science behind Mind remembers stories (not bullet points) and associate them with things and happening around us. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com
  31. 31. ACT: Align & Achieve The best way to predict your future is to create it
  32. 32. I never worry about action, but only inaction. ALIGN & ACT: ACT ACT ACT Have a plan & Act – Act as per plan! Align the plan and Act Plans = good intentions; ACTION = hard work. Celebrate the success and Act! Action is the real measure of intelligence. Action and Motion are different things! Develop a sense of urgency. Remember: Every ACTION has equal and opposite REACTION; Be prepared for it.
  33. 33. Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there. MONITOR AND MEASURE: Mind the change; Measure the change! Measure See the change; To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often. Positive or Negative? If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.
