Natural Resources – a material source of wealth, such as
timber, fresh water, or a mineral deposit, that occurs in a
natural state and has economic value.
Management – the act of handling or managing something
successfully.
Natural Resource Management is the science and act of
managing material source of wealth, such as timber, fresh
water, or mineral deposit, that occur in their natural state
carefully in other to enhance posterity.
3. Types of Natural Resources
Non-renewable – resources that cannot be replenished after they have been
used up.
Example Mineral (Gold, Diamond,…), Fossil Fuel
4. Renewable Natural Resources are resources that can be
replaced after they have been exhausted. Example
Forests, Wildlife, Fisheries, Soil
5. AQUACULTURE
The cultivation of aquatic animals and plants, especially
fish, shellfish, and seaweed, in natural or controlled
marine or freshwater environments for profits.
