The document summarizes research presented at the 9th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences 2013 about usage of Web 2.0 technologies in education. A survey was conducted of 60 people on their awareness and usage of tools like blogs, media sharing, and social networks. Most used and popular was social networking and media sharing sites. The majority of respondents believed Web 2.0 technologies are helpful in education by broadening perspectives, facilitating feedback, and improving collaboration. Satisfaction levels with using these technologies were mixed, with about a third satisfied and a third moderately satisfied. In conclusion, Web 2.0 can enhance learning when integrated appropriately in educational practices.
