1. MDRT Conference New Orleans
With the Liberty Challenge in its last week, now is the perfect time to let you know a little more about
MDRT itself and the value of qualifying for MDRT membership and the prizes the competition offers to all
Liberty advisers.
Who better than Kobus Kleyn, a multiple Liberty Challenge winner, Liberty Achiever, current MDRT South
Africa Country Chair and Top of the Table MDRT member to do so for us. This is what he had to say:
A tradition of excellence
The Million Dollar Round Table organisation was founded in 1927 and is now the premier association of
financial professionals with a membership base of more than 42 500 of the world’s leading professionals
from more than 76 countries worldwide.
MDRT members must demonstrate exceptional professioanl knowledge and adhere to strict ethical
conduct and outstanding client service. There is no doubt that MDRT membership at all levels is
recognised as the international standard of excellence in the financial services industry. MDRT has
developed a rich tradition of sharing knowledge for the benefit of clients, prospects and advisers.
Court of the Table & Top of the Table membership serve as additional incentives and benefits for
members to achieve at much higher levels than qualifying members, so as to allow for differentiation.
Changing lives
The MDRT annual meeting (planned in 2015 for June 14 to 17 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA) will be
a life-changing event for most attendees. Over 8 500 of the world’s top producers will come together in a
spirit of camaraderie for the greatest gathering of financial services professionals in the world. This will be
a mind-boggling couple of days, with top class main platform speakers and a myriad of breakaway
sessions of your choice to attend. The programme can be tailor-made for your own needs and objectives
to maximise your learning opportunities. Most importantly, I believe, is that members get the opportunity
to network with other top financial professionals from around the world, building friendships that last a
lifetime through ongoing networking beyond the conference.
There is no doubt that my life has, and continues to change, since I attended my first official MDRT
conference. So many of the succsesful Liberty advisers and legends have one thing in common: in one
form or another, they have been touched by MDRT.

2. Liberty has offered to pay the full buy in package cost upfront and will recover it from the qualifying
Adviser’s AQC Scheme. If the 2015 estimated bonus is not enough to cover the package cost, Liberty will
offset any shortfall in equal monthly instalments over the last 6 commision earning months of 2015.
As an MDRT member, advisers will gain professioanl status and credentials that differentiate them from
the bulk of advisers in SA. Out of the 42 500 membership worldwide, there is an elite number of active
members in South Africa currently - giving them a distinct advantage over their competitors.
I encourage as many advisers as possible to take up any opportunity to attend the MDRT conference and
to become a member of this important association.
Becoming a member (or renewing your MDRT membership) will add another key affiliation to your
credentials, and with RDR looming along with other industry changes, these will only become increasingly
