about movies in town. There’s Alexa, Cortana and Google
Voice Search – all making their voice heard in the search
market. The good news is that come 2020, nearly half of all
the searches made will be via voice queries, according to
reports.

How will digital marketing change?
• Voice search presents a wonderful chance for brands and
digital marketing agencies to tap into it, and gain customers.
• Voice search and its proliferation would require a tweaking of
digital marketing strategies. As a brand or a marketer,
keyword search becomes less important and a semantic
search takes precedence.
• Voice search will begin to make a huge impact on local
businesses. Most people use voice searches in an effort to
glean some urgent immediate information.

• Interestingly, local searches lead to ads in a Search Engine
Rankings Page (SERP) wherein a user doesn’t even have to go
to web site, and glean quick information about a local
business or a restaurant. This means reviews pop up and so
do call to action buttons
• If your business has a listing on a crowd-sourced site, you
should take care to keep information up-to-date and active.

• Yet another way voice search will make an impact is
when wearables become more mainstream. In such a
