Job Summary:
Exciting opportunity for an Opto-Mechanical Engineer. The OME will be responsible for
designing, developing, and implementing a variety of simple to complex systems supporting
advancement of research. This activity requires a thorough knowledge of optical and mechanical
engineering concepts and application. The OME will work collaboratively with research
customers and department colleagues. The OME will work on projects from inception at the
concept development stage to completion at the product delivery stage, playing a primary role to

Principal Responsibilities:

Assists with interpretation of requirements from research groups on short and long-term

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

As part of the operations team this key role will be responsible for the optical-mechanical
production processes for the optical terminal. This individual will act as the key technical
resource for all optical and mechanical related tasks. As such they will act as the first line of
defense for all technical issues that are encountered during the manufacturing of this product
line.
This position is for a key hands-on contributor to the team who will use knowledge of opto-
mechanical manufacturing and assembly processes. They will work in concurrent engineering
teams to aid in the design for manufacturability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own and maintain manufacturing processes related to opto-mechanical process steps. These
processes include assembly, optical alignment, optical component testing, and mounting of
