Abstract
The aim of this work is to investigate the effectiveness of quality
management tools in Egyptian industry.
The methodology used a web-based questionnaire.it consists of: Questions
covering 77 tools.
The result of questionnaire are analyzed and ordered in two category “Expert
& Other”.
A Comparison between our result and a bookmark study is performed.
The study show that many quality tools are not known or understood well
and training has an important role in the learning and awareness of effect
tools.

 KANO Model

 Why Other Engineers Use Kano Model ??
☛ Identifying customer needs
☛ Determining functional requirements
☛ Concept development
☛ Analysing competitive products
Differences In MEASURE
 CTQ Tree
 Why Expert Engineers Use CTQ Tree ??
1. It helps in transforming unspecific customer requirements into specific
requirements.
2. It aids sigma teams in detailing broader specification.
3. It gives assurance that all the aspects of the customer requirements are
fulfilled.
Differences In ANALYSIS
 Check Sheet
 Why Expert Engineers Use Check Sheet??
The check sheet is a simple and effective way to display data. It is a good first
step in understanding the nature of the problem as it provides a uniform data
collection tool. It is very useful to help distinguish opinions from facts in the
Define and Measure phase of the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework.
Differences In IMPROVE
 TRIZ
 Why Expert Engineers Use TRIZ ??
Benefits of TRIZ
 TRIZ is a science of system development based on laws of systems evolution and the
best practices of thousands of developers and scientists
 TRIZ helps to realize the privilege and obligation each member of our society has to
be a creative person and to live a creative life. At some point in the past, someone did
something that makes our lives today more comfortable. We, in turn, should do
something useful for the world now and for generations to come.
 TRIZ increases the speed of system development and evolution. This is a primary a
global function of TRIZ because technological evolution reflects and propels the
development of our civilization.
 TRIZ helps model problems that are not well defined into a specific problem that can
be solved by any engineer.
 TRIZ is a natural amplifier of our talents, knowledge and experience. Everything
that we do in our life and any decision that we make will be better and more effective
when we use TRIZ. TRIZ changes the people that learn and use it. They become more
inventive and creative.

 TRIZ has no limitations (except 1). It can be applied to any new or existing
system undergoing development.
 TRIZ has only one limitation
the limitations of the physical world. Even in
this situation TRIZ can help find way to overcome scientific limitations.
 TRIZ breaks Psychological Inertia, the main Innovation Killer.
 TRIZ Technology for Innovation is the process of using all parts of TRIZ in
combination with other proven methods and best practices of effective project teams
for system development and problem solving.
 TRIZ Technology for Innovation is applying through TRIZ Innovation
Roadmaps for project creation and problem solving.
 TRIZ Innovation Roadmap for Project Creation and Problem Solving is a
combination of parts of TRIZ, along with other proven methods and best practices of
effective project teams. When applied in the most effective sequence, it will
achievement of best results for any given project or problem.
 TRIZ Innovation Roadmap is a complete set of tools for the conceptual stage of
product/process/service design.
Differences In IMPROVE
 Kanban
 Why Other Engineers Use Kanban??
1. Flexibility
2. Focus on continuous delivery
3. Reduction of wasted work / wasted time
4. Increased productivity
5. Increased efficiency
6. Team members’ ability to focus
Differences In CONTROL
 Poka Yoke
 Why Expert Engineers Use Poka yoke ??
1. It helps people and processes work right the first time.
2. It stresses on techniques that can drive defects out of products and process and
thus make it impossible to make mistakes. This substantially improves quality and
reliability.
3. The use of simple poka-yoke ideas and methods in product and process design can
eliminate both human and mechanical errors.
4. Poka-yoke does not need to be costly.
Differences In CONTROL
 Visual Management
 Why Expert Engineers Use Visual Management ??
1. See the work in progress
2. 2. Recognize flow stoppers
3. 3. Assess inventory levels
4. 4. Identify defects
5. 5. See deviations from the standard
6. 6. Enable interventions
7. 7. Improve safety
Conclusion
We found that most Companies Focus on Popular Training & Tools and ignore a lot of tools also
there are a lot of tools and other training more effective and helpful.
Most Companies Focus On:
 ISO 9000
 Safety
 Customer Service
So, all Companies must put the flash on other training and focus on Quality Management
Tools.
Companies must take a deep look on other tools that work together and their impact is high and
give more effective analysis like (SIPOC – Kano Model) and so on.
Companies must give A Quality Management More space and more attention to help the
department to focus on quality tools and knowing it.
Thank You
