1. My fellow brothers in Islam Let us obey Allah by doing what He ask us to do and avoid His prohibitions to achieve happiness in this world and hereafter Now, we are in the month of Rabi’ulAwwal, where our Prophet was born to deliver His message, Islam. 2. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلمremind us to remember the important things in our life and they are: Fear of Allah Repentance Good moral conduct According to Islamic teaching the word Taqwa means fear of Allah by obeying all the His rules and regulation in Islam and avoid from His prohibitions. 3. 13. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Surah 49. The Private Apartments, The Inner Apartments From this verse, Allah mentioned that He will not see the position of his servants whether they achieved high position in society or not but Allah favors the righteous among of His servants. 4. Furthermore, the righteous one will be gifted by Allah through His mercy as stated in the Quran 2. “…And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out, 3. 5. My fellow brothers in Islam Man was created by Allah with two parts in his body. They are mind and an-nafs. Mind always call for the righteous and good deeds but nafs call for the evil deeds. Allah said that: 53. "Nor do I absolve my own self (of blame): the (human) soul is certainly prone to evil, unless my Lord do bestow His Mercy: but surely my Lord is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful." 6. Our Prophet Muhammad SAW guide us and ask us to always clean and purify our nafs. If we do bad deeds in our life we must purify it by these four ways: Stop from doing bad deeds Regret what we have done Motivate ourselves not to do it anymore Do righteous deeds PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
7. If we do evil to other human being, we must seek his forgiveness first before we repent For example; we must return others belonging that we have took before we meet Allah Allah will not entertain His servant before he or she solve the problem among them Every evil things done by human will be forgiven by Allah be it the small sinsorthe big sins except al-Syirk or to associate Him with something else. 8. Allah said: “…If any take the Evil One for their intimate, what a dreadful intimate he is!” According to Islamic teachings akhlak or good moral conduct is not based on the surface but its cover all aspects in terms of social, economy, politic and so on. Its also can not be separated from human life especially Muslim PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
9. Prophet said that akhlak is very important in Islam. He also said the successful of His invitation to Islam was because of akhlak. During da’wah period when was Prophet still alive he said because of akhlak, the society especially from Arab country was united among them.
