Job Responsibilities
• In the Area of: Painting, Coating, Cathodic Protection.
• Preview all paints & coating specification, manufacturer’s product data sheet
painting crew approvals, equipment calibration certificates, safety standards and
other paints/ coating related documents.
• Check all verifying documents to be consistent with the original documents.
• Check all inspection equipments, abrasive blasting equipments are all properly
tagged prior to commencement of the paints/ coating activities.
• Monitor the Abrasive blasting activities to comply with the required standards.
• Conduct surface profile measurements with the press-0-film paper.
• Ensure surface cleanliness prior to coating application (primer/topcoat)
• Monitor and check wet film/ dry film requirement as per standard.
• Monitor the Performance of Blasters and Painters.
• Raises the NCR’s for Non Conformance Products.
• Carryout the Holiday/Pin holes Test Where applicable.
• Inspect coating for any paint defects for touch up repair.
• Check the daily inspection report completed by the crew superior.
• Raise RFI for final inspection/acceptance form client representative.
• Monitoring, witnessing, inspection & documentation of all paints & coatings
activities offsite & onsite.
• Prepare inspection report for final inspection & acceptance of owner’s
representatives.
• Monitoring, Witnessing, Inspection & Documentation of Cathodic Protection
activities include Sacrificial and Impressed Current Systems.
• Surface Preparation, Dry abrasives Blast Cleaning, New & Maintenance Painting
on all components & Structure, Working on Hot duty surfaces, above ground Pipes,
Manhole, Catch Basins, Cleanouts, Road Works, Tie & Feathering Works,
Equipment Foundations, Fencing Works;
• Coordinated the painting works in accordance with the plans and specifications.
• Verification of accomplishment painting reports, work accomplishment reports,
estimation and change order issuance
• Schedule and conduct inspection for painting activities, which includes :
• Mechanical works;
• Building indoor painting finishing;
• Lying of U/G pipes for Drainage & Sewer lines;

• Fire water and drinking water systems;
• Conduct tests for test area of paint;
• Grouting and APCS System of materials.
• Maintain Log Register and discuss discrepancies / violation of standards with
section in-charge and issue notification to concerned contractor for corrective action
as and when necessary.
• Follow-up and rectify discrepancies notified, for remedial action including
documentation.
• Conduct tests for Viscosity, Density, & other properties of Paint
• Inspection of all kinds of Surface preparation, ferrous & non-ferrous
• Prepared work schedule and material deliveries.
• Prepared weekly QC reports and implementation of Quality Plan & Procedures;
• Review of quality control documents and material submittals.
• Inspection of all civil/ structural/ architectural works design.
• Review of materials submittal for technical / QC approval.
• Maintaining quality control by site inspection.
• Maintaining quality control & progress of work.
