2. What is Newspaper ?
A newspaper is a publication printed on paper and issued regularly, usually
once a day or once a week. Its carries news and views of home and abroad to
us.

3. History of Newspaper
● The first printed newspapers were published weekly in Germany from
1609. But first published in England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth.
The Indian Gazette which was the first newspaper in Indo-Bangladesh
was published in 1774. Samachar is the first bengali news paper.

4. In history there was many kinds of newspaper. They are Dailies,
Biweeklies, weeklies, monthlies and quarterlies.

The daily newspaper is the most prominent. The newspaper gives us news, views and different kinds
of advertisements. They contain articles on politics, literature, art, music, films, education, games, and
sports.

9. Disadvantages of news paper
1. Short shelf life, newspapers are read only once.
2. Poorly print limits creativity
3. Ad space may be expensive, Passive medium (people are not
forced to see and read).
4. No audio-video element
5. Less up to-date in news coverage
6. A literacy (literate but finding an arduous activity)
7. Your ad to compete against the clutter of other advertisers
8. Targeting difficult
9. Competitors can immediately react to your ads.
