such as:
Oil shale projects; supervising Oil Shale Projects in Central, Northeast and
Southeastern parts of Jordan such as Wadi Ad Darwaa, Attarat Um Ghudran, Wadi
Abo Al Hammam, Azraq, JAffer and Isfir Al-Mahatta. The main activities in this
projects includes follow up boreholes drilling, core and samples collecting and
analysis, prepare and evaluate the geological and oil shale technical reports;

of Jordan to evaluate the Uranium ore deposits;

- Previous experiences:
I worked at Geology Directorate as a senior geologist to handle the following tasks:
Prepare geological maps in scales 1:100,000, 1:50,000 and 1:10,000 which
includes field survey of areas covered by sedimentary and volcanic rocks, samples
collecting and analysis, geological correlation, aerial photographs and landsat
images analysis and writing a detailed geological report about the area includes
geological description and structural geology;
Interpretation geological data (Sedimentology & Stratigraphy, Structural geology,
Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, Geophysics and soil and rock mechanics;
Prepare the minerals exploration studies, analyzing the geological and laboratory
data and prepare technical reports includes ore reserve estimate, mining and
feasibility study;
Prepare the Hydrological and hydrogeological studies;
Prepare the geological and geotechnical studies for infrastructure;
Prepare, reviewing and evaluating the natural hazard studies as landslide and
environmental impact Assessment;

Prepare the exploration projects work plan.
- Present experiences:
I was worked in Petroleum and Oil Shale Directorate / Oil Shale Division as a senior
geologist; the main brief responsibilities of my job are:
1- Follow-up the exploration program of oil shale companies in Jordan as a
governmental member of Exploration Technical Advisory Committee (ETAC)
this includes the following activities:
a. work program implementation of the drilling exploratory wells in different
parts of the concession areas to determine the thickness, depths and
overburden of oil shale;

b. Follow-up the geophysical studies program (seismic studies) to identify
geological structures and to support the assessment of the work program
drilling results;
c. Performing the hydrogeological study program;
d. Conducting the geotechnical study program;
e. Conducting the oil shale sample analyses.
2 Supervising Oil Shale Projects that have been done by MEMR in different
parts of Jordan and participate in oil shale resource assessment studies;
3 Assist in preparing the required documents and correspondences for
companies agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOU’s) with
government and its implementation activities;
4 Reviewing the geological, hydrological and environmental studies included
in the feasibility study presented by companies.
Recently from Feb. 2015 – present:
I am starting my new professional career as Geology &Mining Manager at Al-
Qamer for Energy & Infrastructure Ltd Company to explore and exploit oil
shale resources in Jordan. The main responsibilities are the following:
Oversee all the activities of the Geology and Mining Department and
Exploration Work;
Geological data collection and processing using specialist software and
reserves estimation;
Supervise the exploration and drilling programs;
Coordinate with Jordan Petroleum Refinery and any other companies to
commercialize oil products and
Reporting to the management.
ACTIVITIES
Participation in many Conferences, Symposiums and workshops in Jordan and
outside;
Member in different technical advisory committees Such as: minerals exploration,
water, land slide and oil shale;
Participation of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation as a governmental member
committees to study and evaluate the water services agreement, water demands
and supply;
Member of several conferences organizing committee.
