OBJECTIVE Due to redundancy currently job searching and volunteering with the intention of a new career that will utilise my years of analytical proficiency for computer software, drawing, design, documentation and costing. PROFILE With over twenty years of autocad skills and achievements in working the fire and security sector, promoted to fire systems project design estimator. Attended site surveys and prepared quotations, specifications in line with standards, regulations and company policy. With the ability to comprehend client needs, deliver solutions and use modern technology competently.
EXPERIENCE Volunteer Sales and Warehouse Operative 2010 October-Present day: The British Heart Foundation, Cheetham Hill, a heart-line charity. Assist in the logistical requirements of handling import/export goods of furniture and electrical items. Volunteer Advice and Guidance Support Worker 2010 April-Present day: The Creative Living Centre, Prestwich, a mental health charity.  Currently working through an NVQ level 2; course in Advice and Guidance. Give full support to members, volunteers, staff and trustees in the day to day running of the centre. Help in the delivery of mental health activities such as therapy groups, art groups and games. Smart and friendly towards all who use the community centre and its services. Quality Assurance Coordinator 2010 July: Ashvale Fire Services Ltd, Ashton under Lyne. Administered Quality Control ISO9001 and general duties within a small business.
EMPLOYMENT Fire Systems Project Design Estimator 2007-2009 Dec: ADT Fire and Security Ltd, Manchester, Integrated Solutions Group.  Created contractual controlled reports, tender specifications and presentation packages. Designed and estimated fire alarm detection, fire chemical/gas suppression, and care comm. systems.  Ensured all bids tenders delivered, conforming to current legislation EN, BS, BAFE code of practice. Liaised with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive quotations. Prepared technical office data using computer drawing hardware and company calculation software. Proficient in fire alarm, fire suppression, BS6266 and company procedures. Read British and European standards and engineering site solutions in respect to fire safety. Trained in Fire alarm, BS5839, FIA, MX Designer, Sales&Install and workplace Health & Safety.
EMPLOYMENT Systems CAD Technician 1998-2007 Sept: ADT Fire and Security Ltd, Manchester, design dept. Competent in PC literacy, Internet search, company website, Microsoft professional word, power-point, excel, calendar and task. Controlled PC hardware, software, printers, scanners, and all other vital equipment. Produced autocad design drawings of plans, layouts, schematics, diagrams and charts of fire and security disciplines for all relevant departments. Setup drawing library templates for all disciplines of electrical mechanical fire systems. CAD Operator 1992-1998 Sept: Thorn Security Ltd, Prestwich, fire and security dept. Carried out computer aided drawing duties of fire safety systems for relevant departments. Worked alongside sales, administration, service, technical, surveyors, projects and install managers.

Gained detail in drawing plans, layouts, schematics, diagrams and charts for mechanical fire extinguishing systems using technical drawing hand held tools. Trainee Model Maker 1987-1987 Dec: Media Biddle Ltd, Bury, shop floor.  Trained in manual engineering and industrial machinery for modelling materials.  YTS Trainee 1985-1987 July: Bury M.B.C., Civil engineering, highways division. Attended a two-year apprenticeship of site surveys, data analysis, administration, reports, plans and sections, for land, road and rail.
