1. Law of Attraction
What the heck is it?
The law of attraction simply states that "like attracts like" or in other terms – you are what you
think. For example, if you're constantly thinking that you have money troubles and are living
paycheck to paycheck, well guess what, you will always have money troubles. The law is very
obedient to your thoughts. The law of attraction is basically there to keep us mindful of how we
feel towards our lives.
Still Skeptical? It is imperative to benchmark successful individuals who have used the law of
attraction into their daily lives and are successful because of it. Think of celebrities such as Will
Smith, Jim Carey to entrepreneurs such as Steve Jobs, and Oprah Winfrey, who swear by this
and showcase it in interviews. Also, it is absolutely free to try – why keep doing the same thing
and expect the same results? Change is built into our human nature.
How do I do this? I have outlined some easy methods that literally take no more than 15 minutes
a day to execute. I will showcase them for you below:
1. Meditation: Common sense right? Think again, this one step requires multiple tries to get
it right. It is surprising how much of a challenge it is to “calm the mind”. Tips to consider
when beginning: be in a comfortable position with no outside disturbances, close your
eyes, and focus on your breathing and on how your body moves with each breath. There
are many online resources for great meditation tips and videos – we are in the millennial
age, the Internet is our best friend and knowledge is power!
2. Affirmations and gratitude: The affirmations alone will help reshape your subconscious
mind into automatically thinking positive; with practice, it just comes naturally! As far as
gratitude, in simple terms - you cannot ask for more if you are not grateful for what you
already have.
3. Vision boards: This should focus on how you want to feel, not just the “house” or “cars”
that you want. Your vision board’s sole purpose is to bring everything on it to life by
basically tricking your subconscious mind into thinking that you already have it.
4. Visualization: This is similar to the vision board and links to meditation. As said before,
this will take a few tries of practice to get your mind focused. For beginners, try lying
down on your bed and focus on what you're feeling around you at that current moment.
5. Creating a positive environment: This one is easier said than done. If you have negative
family or friends that bring down not only themselves but you, then you will be better off
in the long run without them in your lives. This also involves complainers! No one likes
being around a "sorry Sally". Once you clear the pessimism in your life, you will
naturally start to move from regression to progression.
2. 6. Persistence, patience, and practice: A habit becomes a habit after 21 consecutive days of
practice. If you are consistent in this, results will follow – remember that nothing ever
came to you overnight with any goal or task, so this will not be any different.
Tips to consider:
1. Make all your goals clear: Decide what you really want, write them down, remember
them, and get off of FaceBook on your phone and utilize that notepad! Revisit the written
goals every day if you have to! Train your subconscious mind.
2. Practice consistency: when you're consistent in all aspects of your life, you will not fail.
Did you learn how to swim, or ride a bike? That took consistency, and you did not fail,
did you?
3. Believing: If you think this is "bogus" then your mind will always remain narrow
throughout this and the law of attraction will not work on you. Free yourself, literally.
4. Visualize before bed: This is important because your subconscious mind works while you
sleep. Go to bed thinking "I conquered today, and I am grateful for it." Don't let negative
thoughts marinate into your dreams while you sleep. Tomorrow will be a new day.
5. Take actions towards change: Whether it is moving out of your negative environment to
cutting negative friends out of the picture; take the action steps needed. All small goals
will lead to bigger goals and even better results.
6. Permission to allowing: Similar to believing, if you don't give yourself the time or allow
yourself to do this, then it will never work for you.
7. Persevere: You know that this always leads to growth in some way. Recall all the times
you never gave up and remember what it gave you.
The law of attraction has been around for as long as we know. If you are looking for an
inexpensive and feasible way to change your life, there is no harm in getting help from the
Universe. I hope you find this article helpful in your future goals!
