1. Nissan Altima Hybrid Electric Vehicle Accelerated Testing – October 2009
Two model year 2007 Nissan Altima hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) entered Accelerated testing
during September 2007 in a fleet in Arizona. Each Altima was operated for 160,000 miles, at
which point their traction batteries were tested before they are retired in September 2009. One
page vehicle maintenance logs are posted on nearby www pages. This information includes the
date and mileage for all maintenance and repairs performed on the vehicles. The two Altima
HEVs were driven a total of 323,000 miles and the cumulative average fuel economy was 29.9
mpg. Note that the first month of data had artificially high mpg due to one vehicle operating but
not being fueled.
