After 26 years of experience in education, I have realized how resilience students can be. No matter the socio- economic status, age or identity, students who set out to reach a goal and take the necessary steps, can and will reach those goals. Education leaders should always be concerned with who students are, and what experiences they can offer them. In advancing local and state economies through education we must be accountable to students and their needs above all institutional wants.
