Ferris Homecoming 2016
Wednesday Sept. 7 - Friday Sept. 23
An United Way Fundraiser during Homecoming will utilize photos of dogs to bring awareness for
local animal shelters and to support the Bring Brutus Back Campaign.
Phase I: Coaches will select players from the draft
● Coaches (individuals) will donate money through Marketplace link to access Dawg Draft
Page .
● Once at this page they will pick “players” for their team of top five favorites
● Coaches will then communicate their team (the five numbers off the photos of chosen
dogs) with a team name through the Homecoming Facebook page
● Coaches will be sent “Tips and Tricks” to assist their team to get to the top bracket of the
competition (explanation of rules)
● Collages of “Teams” (made by the office) will be uploaded in the Homecoming FB page
in a photo album, “Dawg Bowl Teams”
Phase II: Top Dawg Teams gain following through social media
● Students/Staff/Public “Fans” will be able to access “Teams” on the Homecoming FB
page.
● Coaches will then have the opportunity to support their team by gaining likes/shares from
“Fans” to original team photo
● All “Team” photos will be on the Homecoming FB page
● Links will be set up for United Way donation on each “Team” photo
Winner: The Coach with the most likes/shares of the original “Team” photo will have a Dawg
Photo Shoot with dogs in the parade on Saturday. This Coach will be announced at the Friday
Night Bonfire.
Incorporating #BringBrutusBack Campaign:
The goal is to incorporate this movement into our campaign by strategically utilizing
supplied graphics into the teaser and kickoff posts.
Timeline:
➔ Friday Sept. 2: Idea pitch to Homecoming committee
➔ Tuesday Sept. 6: Teaser post of fundraiser
◆ Logo/post that will support #BringBrutusBack campaign

➔ Wednesday Sept. 7 @ 9:00 a.m. Launch campaign
