Katie Brown is a senior at Missouri State University studying Entertainment Management with a 3.43 GPA. She has worked in various roles including as a receptionist at an architecture firm, as a nanny for multiple families, and as a host at Outback Steakhouse. She is currently the Activities Chair for her sorority where she plans major events. She also served as Vice President for her high school's DECA chapter and placed in regional and state competitions. In her free time, she volunteers regularly with the Boys and Girls Club and other organizations and has participated in numerous mission trips.

Hollis + Miller Architecture – Receptionist April2014-August 2014 & May 2015-August 2015
- At the end of my senior year in high school (2014), I was on work release and worked at Hollis + Miller Architects. I answered
phonecalls, made copies, placed orders, ran errands, assisted the lead receptionist, architects and owners to support their efforts
and I helped put together color books for the interior designers.
Nanny – MultipleFamilies 2010-2015
- Started officially being a nanny for three different families on a regular basis in 2010. Since then, each summer I have been a nanny
for multiple for families during the school year as well as a part-timejob in the summer. As a nanny I watched kids from 1 year old
to 11 years of age. For each family I was a trusted care taker of their children and coordinated many details.
Outback Steakhouse – Host March 2013- August 2013
- I was responsiblefor seating people, working the front stand, and opening thedoors for the customers as they entered and left. I
was dedicated to customer satisfaction and able to maintain patience while there was a rush of customers.

- Responsible for planning two major events that each take about 4 months to plan, the first being Greek Week that includes all of
the fraternity and sorority life. There are multiple events that I must plan and follow through with. Thesecond major event is in the
fall of 2016 and is Homecoming Week. All organizations on campus may participateand as same as Greek Week, there will be
other events and activities that I will coordinate and plan.
DECA August 2013-May 2014
- Elected Vice President for Lee’s Summit West, High School. While competing in competitions, I placed 1st
in region and went on
to statewhere I placed in the top 8. This gave me great practice with interviews, and presenting projects and presentations.
