RE: Katharina Vester
To Whom It May Concern,
It’s a pleasure to write this letter of support for Katharina who I knew when she was
assigned to be the Allergy Immunology Fellowship Program Coordinator in 2011. At the
time, our application for a new program was being submitted and the individual assigned by
the Department of Pediatrics to help us through this very complicated process was
overwhelmed and our application in serious trouble. Katharina simply took over the process
and guided us through to a successful completion and approval. Along the way she also
organized and was present for the site visit that was also very difficult but with Katharina’s
help we were able to be successful. When Katharina left UCSF in order to go back to
school she organized our program documents so that the new coordinator could easily take
over. She has been greatly missed!
As you can imagine, Katharina is very bright, extremely well-organized, and a pleasure to
work with. I strongly recommend her to you.
Sincerely,
Morton J. Cowan, MD
