Asia Bridge was established in the early 1990’s for the purpose of improving overall
project performance with a commitment to protect client’s interests. It achieves this
through its base of competent professional staff and its vigorous pursuit of
innovative delivery and management techniques.
Asia Bridge draws on the experience over several decades of its members providing
innovative and cost-effective infrastructure delivery solutions, regardless of the size
or complexity of the projects. We are also able to raise structured finance for as well
as alternate financing through strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
Through our related corporate entity, Pengurusan Projek JS&T Sdn Bhd, we
possess the capability to provide procurement and project management services in
a range of infrastructural sectors. Our depth of expertise, combined with our project
management ability and technical expertise means we can offer a high degree of
predictability of project outcomes. Using our well-established project management
systems, the knowledge of our project controls specialists allows us to manage both
budget and schedule effectively, and minimize disruption to operations.
Asia Bridge conducts business by way of:
 Internal Development;
 “Contractual” JV Agreements i.e. Joint Marketing, Joint Development and
Outsourcing; and
 Acquisitions including acquiring technology and know how.

measurable results. Where required, we generally partner with leading specialists
where process technology and specialized equipment is required.
As an investor, Asia Bridge possesses a good understanding of the drivers for
harmonisation of target markets and its governments.
We have well established offices with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and
India.
We continue to lead the industry with participation in all sectors of development
involving the construction of buildings, infrastructure facilities, transport, mining and
other special purpose facilities such as hospitals, warehouses, power stations,
telecommunication towers etc.

engineering industry.

The most sought after aspect of Asia Bridge services is its preparedness to

We enjoy good relationships with major international corporations such as Korail of
South Korea and Mitsui of Japan for the development of major linear transportation
modes such as rail, United Engineers of Malaysia for elevated structures for road
and rail, K Water of South Korea for water projects etc.

inception to completion including bankable feasibility studies, financing,
implementation and commissioning.
TEAM
The Asia Bridge team comprises of members with a vast knowledge and
background of infrastructure developments in the Asia Pacific region. This is
combined with a strong understanding of the geopolitical landscape in the region,
which places us in a unique position to successfully negotiate, secure, finance and
implement projects within the region.
Karthigesu Karuppiah, Chief Executive Officer, B.Sc (Project Management),
MBA (UK)
As CEO, Karthi has undertaken the charge to
ensure that projects are delivered in accordance
with customer’s and stakeholder’s
requirements.
Karthi thrives on bringing together opportunities
and individuals best able to deliver. His
involvement in infrastructure stems from
relationships forged over many years where his
acumen to succeed have brought these
opportunities to the forefront.
He has strong relationships with reputable
delivery partners and funding agencies.
Inderbir Nanra, President, BE (Civil), MBA, MCom Law
Indi is passionate in ensuring delivery of
projects in accordance with best practices with
the right mix of planning, monitoring, and
controlling that can make the difference in
completing a project on time, on budget, and
with high quality results. He delivers projects
through adherence with sound commercial and
project management principles thereby offering
balanced and sustainable value for money
outcomes. His recent infrastructure experience
in Asia Pacific includes ICT projects covering
the Advanced Metering Infrastructure and data
centre projects in Australia, light rail as well as
toll road with associated property development
on a privatised basis in Malaysia as well as a
number of other energy infrastructure projects in
Malaysia, India and Middle East.
Syed Mohammad Ali, Infrastructure Division – Associate For Bangladesh,
Pakistan and Myanmar.
He has in excess of 25 years of experience in developing and promoting various
infrastructure projects in the sub-continent on behalf of various sponsors of
international repute. Specifically, he has an ample understanding of the power and
petrochemical industry as well as the logistics that supports this. He have
implemented the Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim in Pakistan.
Besides, his involvement in capacity as promoter and developer of more than
2400MW power projects in Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh and
Philippines, he is also currently involved in the implementation of LPG imports,
storage and bottling facilities in Myanmar and LNG Terminal in Bangladesh.
Gururaj Itigi, Telecommunication Infrastructure - Associate for India
Gururaj is a telecommunication expert with intimate knowledge and understanding
of cutting-edge technology and markets that drives this demand.
His foresight of the requirements of telecommunication infrastructure led him to
establish various start-ups in India in collaboration with major international
corporations.
His achievements in the industry gained him the prestigious Government of India
award of Indira Gandhi Priyadharshini ‘Award for Excellence in Electronics’.

office building comprising of a total rentable area of 47,371 m. sq.

Role : Engaged to undertake the preparation of Master Programme role
Details : The project consist of 2 towers and 15 clusters of luxurious modern
condominiums, International Zone cum Shopping Complex, Swimming
Pools Complex, Children Playgrounds, Surau and Clubhouse.
Construction : Cost – RM 550 million

NATIONAL SPORTS COMPLEX
Location : Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
Role : Engaged to undertake the Master Planning and Value Engineering
studies for the project.
Details : The project consist of National Stadium (for 100, 000 spectators),
Putra Stadium (Indoor Stadium for 16,000 spectators) and National
Aquatic Centre. (4,700 spectators, 10-lane Olympic-sized Pool, Diving
Pool and 8-lane Training Pool.)

KUALA LUMPUR LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT SYSTEM 2
Location : Petaling Jaya to Gombak
Role : JS&T provided project management inputs to UEM particularly with
scheduling, cost control and claims assessment, progress monitoring
and reporting.
Details : The project involved the construction of the 29-km track (22km of
elevated guideway, 5km underground track and 2.5km at grade) and
24 LRT station (17 are above ground, 5 underground and 2 at grade).
The LRT 2 project presented major engineering and construction
challenges and set new standards for the Malaysian construction
industry.

Location : Toll Road with associated property development - Penang, Malaysia
Client : Peninsular Metro-Works Sdn Bhd
Role : Transaction company appointed by project concessionaire for 17km
toll road and associated property development on a cross subsidy
basis in Penang, Malaysia with combined gross development value of
USD 10 billion.
Details : Reported to stakeholders to assess and mitigate risks, scoping,
ensure concession agreement and project approvals, manage
technical and funding issues, appointment of consultants and provide
ongoing progress reports. Secured USD 600 million financing for the
toll road with bond issuance, cross-securitisation from property and
shareholders equity. Secured middle- eastern investors to develop
property on a joint venture basis.

Location : Islamabad, Pakistan
Client : Civil Aviation Department
Role : Structuring of transaction for the build, own and operate basis of the
project. Transaction advisor for bid to privatise exiting Islamabad
airport in Pakistan on a BOOT basis. Responsibility included
preparation of bid submission and negotiations with authorities and
funders.
Details : Development of new airport in Islamabad, Pakistan on BOOT basis

200 MW COMBINED CYCLE GAS TURBINE POWER PLANT
Location : Ras Al Khaymah, UAE
Project : 200MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant on a build, own,
operate and transfer (BOOT) basis over 15 years.
Role : Acted as project advisor for a consortium comprising Malaysian and
UAE interests, to identify project, secure requisite approvals from
government, procure EPC group for implementation of the entire
project and assistance with funding arrangements.
